Artist Statement

  Annett E. Bank

“Your highest excitement, love, joy & passion –

...is your true, natural, core original self.”

German born artist Annett E. Bank works on the subject of the human body in motion as her trademark, expressionist style and designs free-flowing, voluptuous figure paintings, curvy back views, romantic couples and exuberant dancers that stimulate the senses. Her exciting work is marked by a great diversity of colour, dynamic movement and painterly fearlessness, that triggers feelings of aliveness, revitalisation and well-being in the viewer.

Her artistic focus is on living in  the Now - in the universal flow - and in this context, she aims to visualise a new state of being that is vibrant, pliant, spontaneous and capable of fluid expansion, inter-connectedness, self-love and authentic sensuality. Annett is inspired by various esoteric concepts, such as the 2012 spiritual Ascension and the return of the Divine Feminine principle, that is currently affecting our earth. She believes people must empower themselves and increase their vibrational frequency in order to function properly during this amazing time of energetic sythesis.

Her images thus serve as visual affirmation and illustrate our need to break out of the eggshell of limited sense perception to become the true magnitude of who we really are – powerful creator beings! It is the understanding of the artist that we are all here on this planet in order to learn how to leave our negativity behind, live life as a dance, play and become whole again. The result will be responsible freedom of self-determination, being truly self-confident and free, without being coerced to accept some higher authority.  She therefore sees her mission in life to lift people's spirits and bring more joy, happiness and beauty to all who come in contact with her work. In metaphorical terms she creates 'meditation on canvas'; a luminous vision of what humanity can be.

Her career:
After graduating with a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art Painting from Northbrook College Sussex, Annett has been studying many metaphysical subjects such as Holistic Counselling, Life Coaching, EFT, Exopolitics, the influence of regressive, negative entities on our well-being and the necessary energetic healing to free ourselves from them. She is currently qualifying to become a professional Colour Therapist, Reiki - and Feng Shui Practitioner.

After finishing her art education in 2007 she was selected by the Salon Gallery in Notting Hill, London as one of UK's Best Graduates and exhibited with Orion Contemporary at various Affordable Art Fairs around the UK and abroad. In 2010 she presented two stunning Solo Shows at the well known Brighton Arts Festival and has since had ongoing features in publications such as the 'International Holistic Practitioner Association', 'Soul & Spirit', 'Wise Woman' and 'The Art of Healing' magazine about Indigo Energy and the true nature of our reality.  Annett writes her own educational blog: The Empowered Figure and is scheduled to give a presentation at the upcoming Indigo & Crystal World Congress, which takes place in Castle Muehlberg, Germany. Recently she was called to serve humanity in a more expanded way and is now guiding people in  new, transformational workshops called: 'True Colours' at Hawkwood College, Gloucestershire, where she facilitates the healing of emotional blockages through creative expression - helping individuals to find their true life's purpose on their road to recovery through the investigation into their Aura colours, Astro profile & Numerology. Annett is currently based in Brighton, UK.
